Planning a call across three time zones

A three-city call is still one moment. Open the Meeting Planner, type the clock in the first zone, and read the other two labels as translations of that instant. If you type 9:00 a.m. in New York, Los Angeles and London are not starting their own 9:00 a.m. meetings.

The gold mark on the axis is that instant on a UTC day. The three rows are names for the mark. If a row looks like early morning, that city is in the early part of its local day, not on a different appointment.

Check January and July when one city changes clocks and another does not, or when London moves on a different weekend than New York. The Time Zone Converter is enough for two cities. Add the planner when a third person joins the invite.

Write the three local clocks in the invitation, with the date beside them. “9:00 a.m. in New York on July 15” is clearer than “9:00 Eastern,” because Eastern is two offsets in one year.

If you only need the remaining time until that date, send the same date into the Countdown. Convert the New York clock first if the event is not on this device’s local time.
